Black Wedding Dresses – Would You Wear One?
Getting married is can be a pain for some women. Finding that perfect white wedding dress to make that special day magical can be like trying to find a needle in a haystack. However, there are some women who are choosing to go against wedding traditions by choosing a different color.
Many women around the world always want the perfect wedding dress. Almost always, the preferred color is some form of white. However, black wedding dresses seem to be the “new white”. Is wearing black for such a special occasion wrong? Can black wedding dresses really take the place of white?
I have been to one wedding where the bride had worn a beautiful, yet elegant, black wedding dress. While I thought it was rather stunning and the bride had pull off wearing it rather perfectly, it did make people talk. Many of the women in attendance couldn’t believe that a woman would wear such a color seeing that black is considered, by some people, the color of death. Even the cake was trimmed with beautiful black flowers.
Personally, when it comes to wedding dresses, I prefer color. I think even black wedding dresses are much better than the white ones. I’m tired of the century old traditions of women wearing white on their wedding day. Weddings should be a day of celebration, of excitement, of happiness and joy. After attending a few weddings with white being the main color theme, it gets boring after awhile.
Black wedding dresses don’t have to be ugly or tacky. They can really look elegant. Red Hot Brides have lovely pictures of black and white wedding dresses. Check out this beautiful dress by The Bridal Shop and I absolutely love this wedding dress on HME Weddings.
Remember, wearing a black wedding dress doesn’t have to mean ugly or dreary looking. Simply go for elegant and beauty.
