Rumor on the internet has that the 85 year old Hugh Hefner has passed away. This time the rumor stated that the caused of Hugh Hefner’s death was a heart attack. It is reported that one Playmate even spoke out about his life. Could it be true? The ultimate playboy has passed away?

Have no fear, Hugh Hefner has denied the rumors by taking to twitter and stating:

“The rumours of my death are, as Mark Twain observed in a similar situation, greatly exaggerated. I’m very much alive & kicking.”

He later tweeted:

“I’m lying in bed next to Shera with a big smile on my face, reading tweets about my unexpected demise.”

Shera Bechard is Hugh Hefner’s current 24-year-old rebound girlfriend.

The ultimate Playboy had launched his empire in 1953. He had financed it by selling his furniture and gathering about $8000 from 25 investors.

Despite being a playboy,  Hefner was married twice and has four children. His third attempt at marriage had fail. His former fiancée Crystal Harris broken up with him before the wedding. The runaway bride accused her husband-to-be of being unfaithful while Hugh claimed it was the other way around. Hugh is known to be a party man and at one point, he had seven girlfriends who all lived in the Playboy mansion with him, spawning the hit E! TV series The Girls Next Door, which starred playmates Holly Madison, Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett and Bridget Marquardt.

Fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Hugh Hefner has yet to enter the big Playboy mansion in the sky.
