Since that article, I have had women emailing me asking if the Brazilian Keratin Treatment works on African American hair. The answer is yes, it works great on African American hair. My hair type is 4a. However, it works better if you have been putting a relaxer in your hair. Virgin hair, hair that have not been chemically altered, does take the treatment but not as well as relaxed hair.

I have tried BKT in my hair and I also had great results. It is great to use in afro hair and I would recommend this product. My hair was silky straight.
Loved it and I will continue to use it in my hair.
